Thomas Strat & Associates, Inc. grew to become an accomplished comprehensive architectural, interior design and planning service throughout the country. The diversification of projects included private, corporate, municipal and educational facilities.
During this time, Mr. Strat designed one of the first buildings in the state of Michigan to utilize an active solar energy system. For his design efforts the Michigan State Senate passed a resolution for his pioneering achievements.
He was also appointed by the U.S. Federal Government to review energy grant proposals for a seven state region including Michigan.
In 2000, Thomas Strat & Associates, Inc. had an estimated 200 million dollars of construction projects and was then purchased by Wold Architects and Engineers headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota with offices in Denver, Colorado and Chicago, Illinois.
